I am a total newbie when it comes to Yoga. I love the detailed information the author provides about the impact of yoga. It was also very informative to know about what exact kind of yoga suits my body, and what kind of exercises I should be avoiding. These are also some of the best descriptions of yoga positions I have ever read. I can understand the Cobbler’s Pose and the Staff pose so much better now. This is a handy book to add some background info to one’s yoga practice. For me the best part of the book was learning how to keep myself motivated, and dedicate to practicing yoga. Great introduction book, as someone who lifts weights a lot, I need to start doing yoga to help improve my flexibility, awesome introduction for a beginner like me!
This is a yoga book for beginners. There was not on picture of a yoga position other than what was on the cover? I was very disappointed and returned my item. The cover of the book clearly states Yoga Poses Included which leaves you to believe there are photos?
This book has a lot of great tips on how to get started and not feel overwhelmed. The only feedback I have is that I wish there were photos included. Some positions are a little harder to imagine without a little help.
