Definitely one of the best prenatal yoga books by far! It's a plethora of information any level can learn from. Being an advanced yogi, I learned how to modify my regular practice to a prenatal practice. Thanks to Dig Pregnancy! I originally borrowed this book from a friend/yoga instructor and studio owner. Since it was so wealthy of information, I decided to purchase a copy for myself. Sue breaks down the trimesters of what you can and can't do, gives tips on poses or essential oils to help with pregnancy symptoms, chanting sounds for baby, meditative techniques, which poses to avoid, which poses to do, etc. At 17 weeks, I'm just happy I can continue practicing in my regular yoga classes with modifications. Highly recommended!Product details

Dig Pregnancy Birth Baby A Conscious Empowered Approach to Prenatal Postnatal Yoga Sue Elkind 9780578117997 Books Reviews
This is a fantastic resource for pregnant women and yoga teachers in general. I used it constantly throughout my own pregnancy and reference it frequently for teaching a public class. Easy to read and use, I highly recommend it to every friend and yogi I know who has been pregnant!
Love this book for so many reasons! Both as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher and currently pregnant, this is a phenomenal guide to the process of pregnancy and what I believe is must-know information to keep pregnant woman the healthiest and happiest they can be throughout the nine months and into motherhood. Sue is a veteran in this field and has dedicated so much of her life to educating yoga teachers and expectant mothers on the facts of prenatal yoga.
Sue has a special way of empowering women during pregnancy. Her book is a fantastic resource that teaches women how to be nurturing, wise, and FIERCE during this exciting and somewhat unpredictable time in their lives. The book is practical in that it explains how to cater a yoga practice towards pregnancy, the importance of self care (getting enough "me'" time, getting enough rest, eating well, etc), and certain conditions to expect. It is also abstract in that it encourages the reader to consider pregnancy and birth as deep, spiritual practices that can bring one closer to her source of innate power and wisdom. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is curious about how to awaken the goddess!
Dig Pregnancy is the best, most relevant, most applicable and easy to reference prenatal yoga resource written by the most experienced and renowned prenatal yoga teacher in the country. Sue Elkind has been researching and teaching prenatal yoga for over twenty years. She travels internationally to help educate teachers and new moms alike.
Her attention to detail, supporting science and wholistic approach makes is a resource fit for everyone. She provides specific sequences and suggestions per trimester. She even suggests things to avoid throughout the trimestsers which is equally helpful.
Dig pregnancy is deep enough to provide all of your prenatal needs, but is also nimble enough to fit in your bag easily as a reference if you are a teacher.
It is a must have for any well rounded yoga teacher arsenal. Can't recommend Sue and this book enough!
Good information !
Highly recommend for prenatal yoga teachers everywhere, and a great resource for any mom to be who wants a healthy, calm, centered pregnancy and birth!
After teaching prenatal yoga for a number of years, and having numerous prenatal students, now that I am pregnant I wanted a book that was more than yoga poses. This book is it as it offers a spiritual connection to the growing womb, but also has simple poses that even a newbie could do. I also appreciate the birth stories and that the book doesn't make you feel like you have to be a certain way. It was obviously written from a place of great love and devotion.
